Are you ready to heal from trauma, foster growth, and reclaim control of your life with confidence?
Meet with Becky Romero, LMHC, NCC, BC-TMH and start your journey.
You’ve spent years in therapy feeling stuck, struggling to break free from the weight of trauma and self-doubt. Despite your efforts, the same patterns keep repeating, leaving you disconnected from yourself and others.
It’s time for things to be different.
“Becky has completely changed my mindset on therapy in a very positive way. I made more progress using EMDR and IFS with her guidance in 2 months than I had made in 2+ years of therapy for trauma related issues. It’s easy to be skeptical of approaches you haven’t done or don’t understand, but she does an incredible job of helping you make sense of everything. I very highly recommend her as a therapist!”

My Approach to Therapy
I take a trauma-informed, attachment-focused approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Together, we explore how your present struggles are connected to past experiences, shifting the question from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What happened to me?” Using evidence-based methods like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic interventions, I focus on the mind-body connection to help regulate your nervous system, process trauma, and alleviate anxiety and depression. My goal is to create a collaborative, compassionate space where you feel empowered to heal, grow, and build a life aligned with your true self.
How Therapy is Different with Me
Therapy with me is a unique blend of curiosity, compassion, insight, and collaboration. I bring an approachable and supportive style to every session, creating a safe space where you feel heard and understood. My approach is centered around meeting you exactly where you are, respecting your pace, and adapting the work to fit your individual needs. I believe in empowering you through education, so you can understand the root causes of your struggles and gain the tools to create lasting change.
You can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where we explore the challenges you face, using a combination of therapeutic techniques tailored to your needs. I incorporate exercises that focus on building safety and security within your body, helping you reconnect to a sense of calm and control.
Whether it's through nervous system regulation techniques or body-based interventions, I guide you in developing a deeper awareness of how your body holds and processes emotions, fostering healing from the inside out. Together, we work toward your goals, building a strong foundation of safety and trust to support your journey of growth and transformation.
Am I the right therapist for you?
-
Therapy with me is a great fit for those who are ready to go beyond traditional talk therapy and engage in deeper, transformative work. If you’ve experienced limited progress with conventional approaches and are open to exploring trauma-informed, evidence-based techniques like EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we may be a great match.
My ideal clients are individuals ages 18+ who are committed to their healing journey and are willing to explore both the emotional and physical aspects of their experiences. You may have a history of trauma, anxiety, depression, or struggles with self-worth, and you're seeking a therapist who can meet you where you are, listen with empathy, and guide you toward lasting change.
Whether you are looking to overcome emotional blocks, build safety and trust within yourself, or gain a deeper understanding of your patterns, I am here to support you. If you're ready to break free from old patterns and engage in meaningful, collaborative work, I invite you to begin this journey with me.

While I work with individuals committed to healing and growth, there are certain situations where my approach may not be the best fit. If you are not yet ready to explore past trauma or are seeking therapy solely for short-term symptom relief without interest in deeper emotional processing, my style may not align with your goals.
If you're not ready to move beyond traditional talk therapy or are seeking a quick fix without personal investment in the process, we may not be the best match for your current needs.
If substance use is a primary concern, I am not the best fit as I do not specialize in substance use treatment.
Additionally, if you are unable to consistently attend your therapy sessions due to symptom severity or currently experiencing severe mental health crisis, such as active suicidal thoughts or self-harm, or are in need of intensive psychiatric intervention, I recommend seeking support from a provider who specializes in crisis management or a higher level of care. You can also call the 988 lifeline for immediate crisis support.

In September 2024, my family and I made the big move from Florida to Colorado, and I'm loving the change in temperature and my newfound passion for hiking. Snow brings me a sense of joy like nothing else, and you'll definitely see a perk in my mood when it starts to fall! Creativity is a big part of who I am, and I express that through singing, dancing, and, most of all, crafting. I own a Cricut machine and a mug press, and whenever I have some spare time, you can bet I’m crafting up something new! I also love photography and have been enjoying taking numerous photos in the stunning Colorado mountains.
Specialties
-
EMDR Therapy
If you’ve been struggling with trauma, anxiety, or emotional pain, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) may be the key to unlocking lasting healing.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works by helping you process past memories in a new way, reducing their emotional charge and allowing you to move forward with clarity and peace.
-
IFS Therapy
Are you feeling disconnected from yourself or trapped in unhelpful patterns? Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps you understand and heal the different parts of yourself—so you can create harmony within.
IFS views the mind as made up of various "parts," each with its own emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Some parts protect you, while others might feel stuck in past pain. Through IFS, you can learn to connect with and heal these parts, finding peace and balance in your life.
-
Therapy Intensives
Are you ready for a transformative shift but need more than just weekly sessions? Therapy Intensives might be exactly what you’re looking for.
Therapy Intensives are designed for those who want to make significant progress in a focused, concentrated time. These extended sessions provide an opportunity to dive deeper into your healing process, address complex issues, and experience rapid growth—all in a supportive, safe environment.
Clinical Experience
-
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2013.
Following my graduate training, I completed two years of post-graduate supervised clinical experience, building a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, ethical practice, and client-centered treatment. This advanced clinical training supported the development of my work in complex trauma, nervous system regulation, attachment-based healing, and integrative therapeutic approaches.
My clinical background spans multiple levels of care, allowing me to work with individuals and families across diverse settings and acuity levels. My professional experience includes work within inpatient psychiatric intake services and emergency department (ER) settings, supporting individuals in acute crisis and stabilization; providing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), working alongside families navigating medical trauma, grief, and high-stress transitions; and delivering therapy within community-based outpatient treatment settings.
Since July 2022, I have been in private practice, where I now provide trauma-informed, integrative therapy through LotusMindFlow Counseling, offering specialized care through EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches.
My education, training, and licensure reflect a deep commitment to providing compassionate, ethical, and high-quality mental health care. I approach therapy with humility, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique healing process, offering a supportive space for meaningful growth, integration, and long-term change.
